Full-time Bus Drivers

Drivers are expected to provide safe and efficient operation of buses and the transport of passengers, exercise sound judgment with respect to emergencies, and provide customer service enabling passengers to reach their final destinations.  Such customer service includes, but is not limited to, answering questions, providing directions, issuing passenger transfers and providing information about CCTA transit services. Drivers must also greet passengers, monitor fare collection, and help explain fare structure to passengers.

Custodian

This full time position is ideal for a hard-working, detail-oriented person who likes to work independently.  As a custodian, you will be responsible for light maintenance of the inside and outside of buses to assure passenger comfort as well as cleaning the buses, replacing glass or light bulbs and going out to the bus shelters along our routes to make repairs.  Work may be performed from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Parts Clerk

The Chittenden County Transportation Authority is currently seeking a Parts Clerk to work in our Burlington Maintenance Facility.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Review all daily work orders, fuel entries, etc. for accuracy and completeness.
  2. Maintain an adequate inventory of bus parts
  3. Gather multiple price quotes to achieve best price and availability

Requirements:

  1. High School diploma or GED is required
  2. Vehicle maintenance and inventory experience preferred
  3. Excellent communication and organizational skills
  4. Proven ability with Microsoft based computer programs
