FARES

Regular fares:

$1.25/One-way
$12.00/Adult Ten-Ride Ticket
$50.00/Adult Monthly Pass *
Children under 6 may ride local CCTA buses free when accompanying a fare paying passenger (one child per fare paying passenger, additional children at Discount Fare rate). Does not apply to LINK Express buses.

* Thank you for Providing a Ride! For every adult monthly pass that CCTA sells, the Authority donates one round-trip to a local social service agency. Please call 864-CCTA if you would like more information about the Provide-a-Ride program!

Discount fares:

$.60/One-way
$6.00/Ten-Ride Ticket
$25.00/Monthly Pass
CCTA discount fares are available to those between the ages of six and 17, seniors age 60 and over, persons with disabilities and those with Medicare cards.

LINK Express Fares:

Note: Children are responsible for paying the full LINK fare on all LINK routes. Only children under the age of two who will be sitting on a parent's lap are not required to pay.

Montpelier, Middlebury and St. Albans LINK routes:
One-way cash fare: $4.00
Monthly pass: $150.00 (gives user full access to all CCTA and GMTA routes!)
10-Ride Ticket: $40.00 

Transfers to the LINK Express from any CCTA local route can be made by asking for a transfer and then paying the LINK driver the difference between that link route’s fare and the regular fare of $1.25 in addition to giving them the CCTA transfer.  Transfers from the LINKs to a CCTA local route are free.

Local Commuter routes:
(Richmond, Chimney Corners, Charlotte, Shelburne to Burlington LINKS, Route 116 Commuter, and the Milton Commuter route)
One-way cash fare: $2.00
Monthly pass: $75.00 (gives user full access to all CCTA and GMTA routes!)
10-Ride Ticket: $20.00 
Transfers to the LINK Express or Milton Commuter from any CCTA local route can be made by asking for a transfer and then paying the difference on the LINK or Milton Commuter route in addition to giving them the CCTA transfer. 

Transfers

Transfers are issued for free to be used to complete a one-way trip (transfers cannot be used to reverse directions). Transfers are not transferable between riders and are valid for one hour after issuance (ask for transfers when exiting the bus). Transfers to the LINK Express from any CCTA local route can be made by asking for a transfer and then paying the LINK driver the difference between that link route’s fare and the regular fare of $1.25 in addition to giving them the CCTA transfer.

Employer Discounts

CCTA Ride Free ProgramFletcher Allen Health Care offers a 25% subsidy on all LINK tickets and passes. You can buy them at the Security Office at FAHC-MCHV Campus.    

University of Vermont, Champlain College, and St. Michael’s College students and Middlebury College faculty and staff can ride CCTA routes for free! Just swipe your valid college ID when you board the bus!
